Hygiene Passport Prices

Adults

  • Group training (at the client’s premises): €189 + €29 / passed test (incl. 25.5% VAT)
  • Individual test: €65 (incl. 25.5% VAT) + possible travel costs (for distances over 50 km)

Venue rental will be added if the instructor rents the premises.

Youth (under 29 years)

  • Group training (at the client’s premises): €160 + €24 / passed test (incl. 25.5% VAT)
  • Adults participating in a youth group: €29 / passed test (incl. 25.5% VAT)
  • Individual test: €65 (incl. 25.5% VAT) + possible travel costs (for distances over 50 km)

Venue rental will be added if the instructor rents the premises.

 


💡 In all cases, travel costs are charged for distances over 50 km.


Included in the price

Course fees include:

  • instruction
  • study materials
  • proficiency test
  • certificate and card for those who pass the test
  • required archiving of test forms for five years

Quality guarantee: You only pay for a passed test. A retake will be arranged if necessary, including special tests.

Completing the Hygiene Passport

“At the end of the Hygiene Passport test, the authorized examiner collects the test forms from all participants and verifies each participant’s identity using an official photo ID approved by the Finnish Food Authority.”

Please ensure you bring one of the following official photo IDs to the test:

  • driving licence
  • identity card
  • passport
  • or another approved form of ID

🖊️ The test must be completed using a blue archival-quality ballpoint pen.

📜 The Hygiene Passport is issued:

  • in your full name with a Finnish social security number
  • if no Finnish social security number → in your full name and date of birth

The information is recorded on the test form.


Arrangements

The number of participants must be reported to me three working days before the test event.

If the test is arranged in a language other than Finnish, Swedish, or English:

  • the translator must be approved in advance (official, native speaker, no conflict of interest)
  • 2–3 weeks must be reserved before the test for translation and review

Hygiene Passport training for youth

Hygiene Passport training for youth consists of 3 × 45-minute lessons to ensure everyone has the same basic knowledge of food hygiene. It is recommended to read the “Lupa kokata” material online in advance.

After the training session, a standard test will be held: 40 true/false statements with 45 minutes to answer. In total, the training takes 4 × 45 minutes.

A maximum of 29 participants or fewer is allowed if room size or other factors limit capacity. All participants must be supervised in the same room during the test.

Food Hygiene – Hygiene Passport

Hygiene Passport training is delivered as 4 × 45-minute sessions held on an evening or a Saturday. The first three hours cover the basics of clean and safe food handling. The training concludes with a standard proficiency test: 40 true/false statements with 45 minutes to answer.

A maximum of 29 participants or fewer is allowed if the room size or other factors limit capacity. All participants must be supervised in the same room for the entire test.
